A cold night at the beginning of February saw an excellent turnout for a community workshop we held at the Volunteer Hall in Galashiels. Participants from the business, education, voluntary and farming sectors joined us for an evening discussing our five key themes – wellbeing, trade, food, energy and knowledge. We looked together at the problems and opportunities, the sticky board doing great service allowing us to post and sort priorities.
Not only did we think about what were the key places to intervene, but also where. We used mapping, magic markers and a great deal of local nous to identify opportunities. You can see an example of the work here.
